Value Video of THIS Month: Integrity

I don't want two late videos in a row, so I'll just do the February video now! I love the topic of integrity! Have you ever heard this story of President Monson? He stood for what was right, even when it seemed he'd be alone, and found that there were others doing the same thing! Heavenly Father truly blesses us when we stand for Him!

Dare to Stand Alone

Another Late Post...Value Video of the Month: Good Works!

January is...shall we say...not my favorite month. Right up there with September. I apologize to those wonderful people out there who were born in those months or who have set either (or both!) of those as their favorite month(s). But for me, January is a drag. After the initial excitement of the New Year, it deflates fast. School starts back up, the cold comes with a vengeance (even here in the South!), and everyone is trying to be less fat, less tired, less cold, less guilt-stricken with the thought of all the unfinished goals of last year and the impossible ones for this year. Not to mention that January is one of the longest months of the year! Thank goodness for February--OH WAIT! It's a Leap Year! Does this sufficiently explain why I have been a slacker and forgotten January's Value Video? Well, let's not make it any later than it already is!

I loved the music video for 2015's Youth Theme, Embark in the Service of God. The video depicts tons of acts of service, of people doing good works and brightening the hearts of other people.

Go, youth!

Value Video of the Month: Choice & Accountability

Dangerous Tides

This video is taken from Elder Larry S. Kacher's talk a few General Conferences ago. We need to be very careful of our choices, because one wrong step leads to another, and before we know it, we are fighting rip tides. Enjoy! (Fun fact, my aunt and uncle know the people who play Elder Kacher and his family in the video!)

BELATED Value Video of the Month: Knowledge

I'm sorry--I totally forgot about this with the craziness of Thanksgiving and the subscription problems and all!

God Gave them Knowledge

This portrays the story of Daniel and his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego when they were 'taken captive and carried away into Babylon' to be taught in the manner of the Chaldeans. They were offered meat and wine but refused, and opted to eat whole grains and healthy foods for just ten days and see who was healthier--Daniel and his friends or the other boys. Because they did this, the Lord granted them great knowledge that would save their lives. You can also read this account in the Old Testament (Daniel 1).

Value Video of the Month: Divine Nature!!!

Happy September! I have the new "Value Video of the Month" for Divine Nature right here for you:

Our True Identity

Last month, I didn't write much about the video, but I think I'll write a few notes here.

President Uchtdorf is amazing! I love that he told the story of the ugly duckling. I think it is so relatable and applicable, especially to modern-day youth. LDS youth stand out. Everyone can tell that they're different. Maybe they notice that we don't swear, or don't partake of harmful substances. Maybe they see those kids who refuse to cheat on a test, or who don't wear tank tops even when 'everyone else' is.

It's because they know their divine identity--a son or daughter of our God. If they didn't, they would more likely cave into the peer pressure that is being shoved in their faces--from TV, from advertisements, from school. And they wouldn't be able to shine their light.

So, remember that you are a divine son or daughter and don't let anyone sway you from that knowledge! Remember what your responsibility with that knowledge is! Don't be afraid to share your testimony!

Thanks for once again reading my stuff! I love you guys!

Value Video of the Month--Faith

And now, the long-awaited first monthly value video, pertaining to the value of FAITH:

From Fear to Faith

This is such an inspiring video, though not Church-produced. My aunt, the same one who suggested the idea of a value video, showed this video to me, and I thought it was perfect! Enjoy!
